ln 2013, Kimaya was diagnosed with breast cancer. Determined to not just survive but thrive Kimaya would work at the store after chemotherapy treatments, because being at the store kept her busy and the community gave her all the support she needed.

During her treatment at Saint Barnabas in Livingston she met other patients and grew determined to help others. This brought about our Think Pink scarf story. Over the past few years, for every scarf we sell, we donate one to the cancer patients at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. It is a very small gesture to bring a smile to those undergoing chemotherapy. Kimaya used scarves to cover her head and to keep warm during treatments.

We also have numerous events in the store to raise money for Breast Cancer research.
